Slow Mass - "Drift Themes"

Drift Themes is the first Slow Mass release featuring their expanded 7-piece line-up. Recorded over several years in multiple locations across the country (Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, Iowa), Drift Themes resulted from one song’s initial seed. Drift Themes fearlessly explores all of the band's sonic interests. Whether the influences are taken from Low’s gentle vocal harmonies, Boris’s crushing wall of sound, Toe’s rhythmic interplay, or Nick Cave’s piano musings, each section is sewn together into one cohesive piece. The EP was mixed and mastered by the band’s long-time collaborators Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Thrice, Yautja) and Zach Weeks (The Armed, Cave-In).
